I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with many incredibly talented people over the years.
As but one member of a team of really smart people, the following are a few of my most favorite and most memorable new product launches, campaigns, and marketing successes we have created (in no particular order):
- Converted over 2,100 bank-owned ATMs installed in a retailer’s stores to merchant-owned. This increased profitability to the merchant by millions annually (Circle K Stores – 2006)
- Launched a mobile-ordering and payment platform that enables consumers to use their smart phone to find restaurants, review menus, and place orders and pay for meals (Just Enjoy Inc. – 2010)
- Launched world’s first co-branded instant-issue prepaid MasterCard (Circle K Stores – 2006)
- Launched a successful fine art gallery & contemporary furniture studio business (Abetica – 2006)
- Co-Founder of one of the largest juried Fine Art Festival shows in the United States (Pinnacle Hills Promenade Art Festival – 2007)
- Created and launched many then-innovative new financial services products including ATMs, money market accounts, debit cards into numerous independent and major banks (1982-1996)
- Led the team that launched the first Visa Check bank signature debit card in California (First Interstate Bank of California – 1992)
- Re-wrote the rules on Home Equity Lines of Credit marketing increasing market share to one of the largest, while improving profitability (First Interstate Bank – 1986)
- Founding Member of the Long Beach Grand Prix, Committee of 300, one of the largest motor sports events in the world. Managed “Deadline Press Room.” (1975 – 1986)
- Transformed a small annual powerboat race into an internationally acclaimed extreme sports event attracting 40,000 spectators, more than 100 international competitors, and extensive global media coverage (Catalina Ski Race – 1983 – 1997)
- Installed “pay-at-the-pump” convenience in over 4,000 gas stations (Union 76 – 1995)
- Created a comprehensive trademark licensing program for the famous Union 76 Orange Ball that enhanced trademark protection for this iconic advertising symbol, while generating millions of dollars in fee income; helped place the “76 Ball” in movie roles including Jurassic Park II – The Lost World, Lethal Wepon IV, The Postman, and others (1995 – 2004)
- Wrote and voiced numerous radio and television shows and commercials. Here’s one example: http://youtu.be/yZXu_bkS448
