Chevron pays $4 bounty for new credit card applications

CSP Daily News is reporting Chevron is offering to double to $4 the reward it pays marketers for every new credit card application they submit from customers in the month of June. The new offer is timed to coincide with a 20-cents-per-gallon spring bonus promotion that the refiner launched for consumers who apply for a Chevron or Texaco-branded personal cards.

Experience shows $4 is probably not enough to motivate marketers to promote the cards beyond filling take-one dispensers with credit applications, based on feedback from marketers that run service stations.
