Couche-Tard interested in German ExxonMobil Gas Stations

The Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. acquisition of Scandinavian-based Statoil Fuel & Retail ASA is just its first in Europe.

According to the Financial Post in Canada, Couche-Tard, parent of Circle K convenience stores in the United States, may be targeting the 1,123 Esso gas stations operated by ExxonMobil Corp. in Germany.

Rex Tillerson, ExxonMobil’s CEO, has reportedly been in discussions to sell the gas stations in order to focus on upstream, specifically oil wells and chemical refining and production.
